Comprehensive engineering layout design and hydraulic validation for a Diesel Oil Storage Tank Farm Structure in the UAE.
The Challenge
Large-scale hydrocarbon storage facilities demand absolute safety, strict regulatory compliance, and rapid fluid transit capabilities. The challenge was to design a structurally secure tank farm layout integrated with an optimal fluid distribution matrix that prevents pressure surges and fluid stagnation.
Our Technical Execution
CADWorx was utilized to design the structural layout, piping manifolds, and foundation interfaces for the storage tanks. To validate the operational safety of the fuel network, we executed pipe flow analysis and surge mitigation studies using AFT Fathom, optimizing pump configurations and flow rates across the farm.
The Outcome
Delivered a safe, highly efficient, and compliant tank farm infrastructure layout. The hydraulic verification guaranteed fluid flow stability, reducing operational pump wear and maximizing terminal turnaround efficiency.
